Emeryville, CA – Nady Systems has announced the introduction of their new studio condenser microphone, the SCM-1200. This versatile, cardioid pattern mic is the most recent addition to Nady’s very popular SCM Series of large diaphragm condensers that includes the SCM 800, 900, 960, and 1000. The SCM-1200, like other SCM Series models, is ideal for recording studio vocals, acoustic instruments, orchestras/choral groups and ambient instrument audio as well as many live sound applications. Its sensitivity and extended smooth full frequency response meet the most stringent requirements for digital recording and live broadcasting.
The SCM-1200 features a large back electret condenser with FET preamplifier. Like other SCM Series models, the SCM-1200 provides rich warmth and crisp, transparent audio. Manufactured with the finest materials, the microphone also features compact machined housing and a protective mesh grill. Other features include: internal shockmount construction for best structural integrity and rugged reliability; transformerless low-noise/high dynamic range output; and a basemount mic holder that fits any standard mic stand. The SCM-1200 requires 48V phantom power.
The SCM-1200 is now available and shipping.
